Dashboard Intro

The Dashboard view is a powerful tool designed to make it easy for you to see your project status, manage your participants, and communicate with participants in easy and powerful ways.

Click on the "Dashboard" button on your Project Viewing Portal's main window, where you'll see a screen similar to the one shown below.

There are two main panels in the Dashboard. The one on the left is all about monitoring who's in the project, who's logged in, and who's answered what. The panel on the right is for sending messages to your participants and viewing what they've been sent and what they've responded to.

Important note on the Dashboard

The Dashboard section of your Project Viewing Portal includes live communication tools that can be used to send emails and push notifications to your participants. It's important to carefully consider how often you're sending messages to participants to avoid confusing them or "wearing them out."

To avoid probelms, here's what we recommend:

  1. There are two different sets of login credentials to your Project Viewing Portal. One set will allow access to the entire Project Viewing Portal including the Dashboard, and the other will allow access to everything in the Project Viewing Portal EXCEPT the dashboard. We recommend sharing the Dashboard Access version of the credentials with only a small core group.
  2. If possible, having a single person responsible for sending messages through your portal is a good way to ensure control.
  3. Make sure that anyone who has the Dashbaord Access version of the login credentials knows how the "Send message" features work, and that they know to check the "Interaction log" and "Message log" tabs so they're aware of all messages that have been sent previously.
  4. Be aware of the timezone that your participants are in when you send messages, especially push notifications which will turn on most participants' screens and make a sound. No one appreciates a 3:00AM push notification!
