Workbench filters

Filtering your search

Apart from setting up powerful, multi-level searches, you can further customize your search by adding filters that allow you to restrict the material that will be included in your search. By filtering, you can control which assignments and questions to include, which participants (or segments) to include, dates and answer types/media types the system will search in.

In the filter section, there are 4 questions that you can use to further tailor your data.

  1. What assignments would you like to search in?
    • Click on the dropdown arrow to see all the assignments that were sent in this project.
    • Select/deselect the questions or assignments that you want to search in. Then click on the X to go back to the main filters box.

  1. Whose answers would you like to see?
    • Click on the dropdown arrow to filter the people that you would like to include in your search.
    • You can filter by Name or by Custom Field. (e.g. You can search for answers from respondents who's custom field indicates their age is 20 years old only)
    • Click on the X to go back to the filters.

  1. Would you like to set a time or a date range?
    • Click on the dropdown arrow to filter the date(s) that you would like to include in your search.
    • You can filer by date or since your last visit.

  1. Include answers to:
    • Click on the dropdown arrow to filter the response types you want to include in your search.
    • You can include all the question types or choose between video, audio, photo, and/or text.

To reset your search parameters, click on the "reset" button and try something else fun and exciting.

You can also "stack" your filters and add more than one. For example, you could select a specific assignment, AND select a specific segment to include or exclude, AND you the "Include answers to" filter to include ONLY video responses.
