Over the Shoulder Recruiter Briefing - Incentives

If you're handling incentive distribution for the project, here's a breakdown of how our process works:

End of project incentive procedure:

Once the fieldwork period for a project is completed:

  1. We will put together and send you a spreadsheet detailing the participation rates, incentive amounts, and any additional bonus incentives to be paid to each participant. We may issue partial incentives for participants who have completed part of the study, but not all of it. We'll give you details of who is to be paid what amount, and an explanation of why a partial incentive is being issued rather than the full incentive amount.
  2. We will send email announcements to participants letting them know that the study has ended and their participation status.  If a participant didn't complete the study, we will let them know that the study has ended and that they didn't qualify for an incentive.  If a participant does qualify for a partial, full or additional bonus amounts, we will include the amount they are being awarded along with who will be paying them, the payment type, when to expect payment and who to contact about their payment.
  3. At this point, we will refer all payment inquiries we receive from participants to you to communicate payment details. Please ensure that you provide accurate and up-to-date information to us for who in your organization participants should contact with questions about payment status.

Incentive contact information

At the beginning of the project, we'll ask you for a contact name and email at your company who participants should reach out to if they have questions about their incentives. Please be sure to clearly lay out expectations for when payments will be made to participants and the exact format of the incentive (check, points, Visa cash card, Gift Card) as you recruit them. This information should also be included in the project screener to help ensure that it is clearly communicated to participants from the outset of the engagement.
